Standing in the rain

Standing alone today
In the street as it rained
Feeling the water
Tricking down my cheeks and hair

They mix with the tears
Running from my eyes
As I stand there alone
Thinking of the times in your arms.

It was long ago
But still it was yesterday
When you took me in your arms
Before you went away.

We held each other tight
Oblivious of the surroundings
We didnt notice the cool breeze
Run its fingers through our hair

We were standing on the sea shore
The waves lapping at our feet
As you kissed me on my lips..
It started to rain.......

Just like now, the sky cried
It mixed her tears with mine
We stood there together
Until its time for you to go away

Now each time it rains,
I stand outside alone
And wait for the moment
When i can be in your arms again

Like waves coming
Back to the Shore,

Cast your bread upon waters
For you'll find it
After many days
In times when you need some love

Sunset

Look at the Sun set
With colors bright and gay
Sinking down into the sea
At the very end of the day

In orange clouds so bright
The saffron coloured sun
With rays of golden limelight
Seems to be dancing with fun

The birds return to their nests
After a long long day
As the sun sinks down slowly
Into the waters of the bay

Little children go to sleep
As the grey screens of horizon turn dark
The serene sun slowly creeps
And retreats without a mark

Sparkling lights peep from heaven
Silver moon now rides in the sky
Seven stars in the orion
Smile as the seagulls fly

When you see a lovely sunset
And when the sky is all bright
Or when you see a distant light
Don't forget me!

When you smell a sweet beautiful flower
When you go through a tunnel in a train
When you just want to dance in the rain
Don’t forget me!

When you are tired and lonely
And when you have a sorrow to share
If there is a burden that you can’t bear
Don’t forget me!

When you just feel like talking
When you want to take a long long walk
Or just watch children playing in the park
Don’t forget me!

When you are sitting alone in the dark
‘Coz burnt are all your candles
And so there is a pain that you can’t handle
Don’t forget me!

In good times or bad
When you are happy and glad
Or when you are very very sad
Don’t forget me!

Live for today

Live for today

Don’t care what others say

Cry not for past yesterdays

Worry not about new tomorrows

But just live your best today

In your daily walk of life

You meet many on the road

Some may commend you

A lot more will condemn you

For their sake – don’t change your mode

Just listen to your heart

It’ll always tell what’s right

You need only to follow it

So just live your life to the fullest

and Keep your soul filled with light.

My Life-Time Friend

Since the day when I could walk,

And have slowly learned to talk,

There were many I have found

But to no one was I bound.

I searched in places everywhere...

Looking for a friend to share

Waiting long for luck to send Me,

my life-time friend.

Then one day I did find you

You came like a bolt from blue!

Thru the dark clouds - a sun beam!!

I only prayed it wasn't a dream.

I like everything you do..

You like what I do too!

We talk about lots of things

When with you my heart sings

The joys I want to share with you

Are numberless and very true.

The times I spend with you will be

Always treasured in my memory

I pray to God that He would keep

Until I go to my eternal sleep

To be with me till the end

You as my LIFE-TIME friend!!

Jasmine in the dust

One evening
I saw a jasmine lying in the dust
Beside the road
I don’t know where it fell from
May be from a wedding garland
Or from a young girls hair
Perhaps from a funeral procession
that went that way

Now it is there
Shining clean amidst the dirty
Surroundings
As I passed by it, I felt
A faint tinge of aroma
Of jasmines in the air…
One little flower
A floating gossamer of smell..

The jasmine will lie there
Until somebody walks over it
Or it gets stampede by a herd
Returning home and
Under the wheels of a vehicle
Emitting smoke.

The hander it gets crushed
The more its fragrance comes
Lie a wave, now more, now less,
Like breeze, now here, now there,
And it slowly fades away
To disappear forever….

Voice of God

The voice of God can be heard

In a thousand million ways

If you can only listen

And keen attention you pay.

I hear his voice when it rains

In the mighty thunders roar

or when i sit alone on

the sand on a wet sea shore

I hear his voice when a lark

sings its songs in the skys

when the wind passes through the branches

and makes the trees sigh

I hear his voice in the laughter

of children playing in the grounds

and when dry leaves fall down

and make a rustling sound

I hear his voice when my mother

sings her lullaby to me

So to hear Gods Voice

there are many ways you see!!
